But I still have some questions for which I haven't been able to find answers. I've done a lot of watching videos and reading articles. So now I'm trying to set aside my prior emotional reaction, and look into Online logically, to see if it will work for what my parents need, and if so, which version they'd want. And once I got to know where to find everything in the Mac version, I can still (mostly) do whatever I want/need to. Which shouldn't surprise me, as they do the same with the Mac versions vs. I now know that's because Intuit decided to completely change the interface between Desktop and Online. I only had a brief opportunity to use Online (don't know what version) once years ago, and I was annoyed and confused that I couldn't figure out how to do anything I wanted to do. But then my Dad asked "why not QuickBooks Online?" and I realized my gut reaction (I hate it!) wasn't necessarily logical. I thought we were going to do QuickBooks Desktop for Mac 2021. I'm now working with my parents to get them switched over to QuickBooks (for keeping personal books and those for a sole proprietorship service business). I also use QuickBooks for Mac at home for my personal books (currently the 2019 version). I've used QuickBooks for years at work - various jobs have used Pro, Premier, and Enterprise.
